main prob I have w/ Voodo is that 3dfx has bit it (and is now owned by
nVidia)

I'm trying for a balance, as I intend this machine to do part-time
game-day duty for stuff like Myth, Diablo and Half-life, but most of the
time be a linux server/workstation for the house. The ATI XPert is only
about $55 at DIT (when they have 'em) and so, is a middling price-point
and seems to have some decent 3d features.
