Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but IMHO if life exists elsewhere, it is highly unlikely that it has evolved in a manner anywhere near to ours, and to assume that they would develop a radio wave technology that we would recognized is a huge leap of faith, and has more to do with a fantasy world like the Star Trek universe than with science. It's more likely a buch of gelatinous goo, or some kind of bugs. </soapbox> That said, I don't know that I feel really excited about the RC5 project either... breaking an encryption. Wee.
